Hi I'm Kristi Jackson,
I am a mom of two boys who keep me on my toes and have always been my inspiration and motivation to stay fit and healthy. I am a wife to an amazing husband who has supported my decision to be a stay at home mom to care for our boys especially our autistic son. As my kids got older and more independent, I found more time for self care. I began taking pilates reformer classes and quickly became obsessed and wanted to share with everyone I met.
I have a passion for helping others through fitness which led me on the path to become a certified pilates instructor. Balanced Body Training provided me with the knowledge and skills to create safe, fun, and effective workout programs. I strive to empower my clients to find their inner strength and confidence to become the best versions of themselves.
I've been into fitness for over a decade and after taking many different types of workout programs I found pilates reformer to be exactly what my body craved. I first started taking classes in Loomis California and fell in love with the atmosphere, the machines, and the overall whole body workout without pain. The studio I attended went out of business and left me with no local options to find a new studio. After seeing the need for a pilates studio in my community I opened PureLife Pilates. We specialize in providing an intimate setting where people can come take a private or group class and get the attention they need to work on form while getting a great workout. Having a small boutique studio allows us to provide modifications and challenges for each client’s specific needs.
Joe Pilates, founder of pilates once said you are as young as your spine is old and that has always resonated with me. Your spine is literally your backbone holding your entire body together making it so important to keep it healthy. Pilates not only strengthens the spine but makes it more mobile to enjoy life to the fullest. Pilates focuses on eight essential principles: concentration, control, centering, breathing, coordination, precision, and rhythm and flow and whole body movement.
